Chemical Reactions: BLASTOX® produces lead silicates through chemical conversion of the lead in the paint. It is solely intended as a lead stabilizing additive, reducing leachable lead in untreated spent abrasive wastes from up to 100 mg/l to less than 5.0 mg/l (RCRA limit for lead) according to the TCLP.
